Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling
Demo v0.1
Installation Instructions:
The Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling Demo does not require installation.
To run the demo:
Run the Bowling.exe executable from Windows 95. A dialog box
will appear from which the user must select the display driver
they wish to use to play the game. For users with 3D
accelerators their 3D accelerator card will be listed first,
and this should usually be selected.
To change display drivers for subsequent uses of Brunswick Circuit
Pro Bowling Demo, run the dxselect.exe executable from Windows 95.
Playing the demo:
The Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling Demo is completely mouse-driven.
To begin a game, select the "New Game" button from the opening
interface screen, then select "Exhibition". In the demonstration
game, all other game modes and lane selections are disabled.
The bowler registry lists the bowlers who will be competing in the
next game. To add a human player, select the "Add Player" button,
then select "Use Brunswick Pro". To add a computer-controlled
opponent, select "Add CPU Bowler" after selecting "Add Player".
In the demo game, only two bowlers may be added, the release
version allows 6. If no bowlers are added, a random pro will be
selected.
Press the "Bowl" button to begin bowling.
When bowling, The user can position their bowler by left-clicking
and dragging either the 3D bowler onscreen or the smaller bowling
ball on the left-hand aim panel. The smaller bowling ball always
reflects the target position of the bowler as he side-steps into
place.
The user may set the aim point by left-clicking and dragging either
one of the 2 bright green arrows onscreen.
The amount of hook may be adjusted by clicking on the spin-up and
spin-down arrows on the left-hand aim panel. The red and white spin
meter reflects the currently set level of hook.
To begin bowling, the user must left-click on the large bowling ball
"Bowl" button on the left-hand aim panel. This causes the accuracy
and power meters to slide onscreen and the aim panel to slide
offscreen.
The ball will exactly follow the path drawn in red on the aim screen,
if the power and accuracy meters are stopped in the middle of the
green zones. Using less power will cause the spin to create more
hook, while more power will straighten out the ball path.
To bowl at 100% power, left click the mouse as the meter-fill passes
through the middle of the green band on the power meter. Letting
the fill extend into the red area will cause power to increase
greatly and can produce unpredictable shot results.
When operating the accuracy meter, left click as the meter fill
passes throught the middle of the green band. A click which does not
occur in the center of the green band will cause the ball to skew
towards the direction which the click was off by.
To view the last shot taken right click to enter the pause menu. On
this menu there is the View Replay option. This option allows you to
see your last shot in realtime, slo-mo, and frame by frame. So that
you can get all the action.
The game will end after 7 frames in demo play.
To exit during a game right click to access the pause menu. Then
the Exit Game option.
Thank you for trying Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling.
